What you can check
No processor
The publisher receives no document: it processes no data on behalf of your departments. There is no data processing agreement to sign to use the tool.
No transfer
Nothing leaves the staff member's computer. The Privacy page gives three checks to do yourself, in a few minutes.
A real redaction
The file produced is rebuilt, and checked before saving. The checker lets you check the documents you receive too.
Installable in-house
The self-hosted licence puts the tool on one of your organisation's servers.
The vocabulary
Klarmask redacts and pseudonymises. It does not take a document outside the scope of the GDPR, and the site never claims it does: see pseudonymisation or anonymisation.
What it does not do
- Keep a record or produce a redaction report: the report will come later.
- Replace human review: detection suggests, the staff member decides.
