What changes
No external service
Processing happens in the staff member's browser. For IT, it is a site of static files, with no database and no outgoing call.
Installable on your premises
The self-hosted licence puts the same tool on your server, with no licence check that would call outside.
Redaction that holds
The redacted text no longer exists in the file produced, and the output check verifies this before saving.
The framework
In France, the Code of relations between the public and the administration provides that parts that cannot be disclosed, in particular those touching on privacy, are redacted or removed before a document is released (articles L311-6 and L311-7). Klarmask carries out the redaction; the decision on what can be disclosed remains the administration's.
What it does not do
- Find every name for certain: the model suggests, the staff member rereads.
- Read scanned documents: they will come later.
